NYT article

The front page of the business section of the NYT (April 10th) featured a story by Peter Lewis (an attender at CFP '95 and recipient of one of Duncan Frissell's labels ) on the detrimental effects of ITAR to the US software industry.

At the top of the article was a large picture of one of Duncan's labels as handed out at the Computers, Freedom and Privacy conference.

This picture was partly out of focus, so that not all of the program text was legibile. The speculation is that this was done on purpose to guard against possible legal/ITAR problems.
