HashCash Mint 4/Windows .9b0.1 By Adam Back and Benchmark Software Binaries and source are Public Domain Welcome! This directory contains a stand-alone Windows GUI HashCash minting client. It's purpose is to mint tokens for those participating in the current HashCash trials being conducted by Alex DeJoode and Mike Shinn. This client can function with any Windows remailer client. The client copies the hashcash token to the clipboard for the remailer client to paste into the message. If you use the Windows operating system, this will be the client you should get. Other's available are DOS box or Windows console applications only. HCW provides an easy method to batch mint tokens while the computer is not busy. To add a HashCash header to a message, in any existing remailer client, the user double-clicks an HCW shortcut (on the desktop) to move a token to the windows clipboard. Then within the remailer client the token is pasted into the message headers. I do not have a position on the proposed use of hashcash in the anonymous remailer system. There has been much discussion in alt.privacy.anon-server by people far more knowledgeable than myself. I have created this client so the HashCash concept can be tested conveniently and we might see the results. The following information is also available in the program's QuickStart file.
